lovelies

Steve and I received many BEAUTIFUL quilts for our wedding. I previously did not realize that receiving wedding quilts is a tradition. But it is a tradition I now love. The first quilt was just a special present for me from Steve (with lots of help from his mother :) Steve made it years and years ago, deciding to give it to his future wife. Steve gave it too me the night before our wedding, so I could cuddle with it to help calm my nerves. He is so sweet! The next two are from his mother. I really should take pictures of the two of them. One is a foresty flannel and the other is a pattern called "around the world" Steve calls this one though around the world on steroids. It is incredible! Another quilt we received was quilted by Steve's grandma. The best part is that the top was originally pieced by her mother. I feel blessed to have this as an heirloom, along with the quilts from Kathryn (Steve's mom) and Steve himself as heirlooms too. My mom and another family friend also gave us down comforters. I think Steve and I need to move to Alaska so we can have all of the quilts on our beds at once. In the mean time, we are rotating.

This picture was just too adorable to not post. Yummy steak, and a flirty apron.

Surprise! It is short.
